Actions clarification page 47

Hi there,

I am getting ready for our first Ruin Masters game. Exciting times!

I have a question in regards to the following statement on page 47

During a game turn (12 turns = 1 minute) a character may perform one of many different actions.

Is this correct ? Does the time refer to Caldorox of our time ? :)

Thank you!

I think you are very right here.

The flow of time in Caldarox flows along the same patterns as it does in our world.
The Great Superflux has not broken the pattern in that regard.

12 turns in one minute seems impossible to achieve.
So, does that mean that it should be 1 hour ?
Thank you Mellekai. Nice seeing you here.

You are very welcome. Great to have you. :)

Your idea of how long it takes to do something is quite correct for an RM during the Large Scale Hex Play (page 75) and the Detailed Hex Play (Fixed and Dungeon Play). But in this specific instance, we are talking about a special situation: Combat. The rules try to reflect a tight situation, with many moving units in a small space. And all are trying to be the first to strike, the first to get the upper hand. Another view on this could be, that the rules try to simulate events that happen nearly at the same time, but the structure and character of a pen and paper game require clear sequences. I find the solution with the stances and how you can bluff in RM quite intriguing.

Hi Mellekai,

This makes a lot of sense. Thank you again.
We will play as if we are narrating the action in super slow motion ... LOL

It always reminds me of the minutia style to show the epic fights in the Dragon Balls animes. ;)
