For me, this place is burdened with a remainder of the forces that have destroyed the old world and are in the process of shaping the world of Caldarox still. It is a feeling of great despair and stress as if the land itself is calling up to the heavens for help against the gnawing powers that are buried here. It is destruction in waiting. It smells sweet like the red apple that carries a tawny heart crawling with maggots. It will be attractive to the more sinister forces like the demons or to the more curious beings like the dragons. They will wait in it surroundings, maybe wait for new magic to shine or old magic to reappear.
